The Australian Base Camp Sarangkot Hiking passes through various elevation. Starting the trip from Kathmandu at 1400 meters, the trek reaches minimum altitude in Pokhara at 840m and peaks to 2165 meters in Australian Base Camp. Then the elevation decreases gradually to 840m in Pokhara and 1400 in Kathmandu towards the end of the trip.

Our vehicle will come to pick you from hotel in Kathmandu and we will drive to Pokhara via beautiful Prithivi Highway. You can observe the green valleys, rolling hills filled with lush Rhododendron forest, countryside villages and beautiful Trishuli River. On reaching Pokhara we will check-in to hotel. We will take breakfast in early morning and drive to Phedi. From here, we will start hiking toward Australian Base Camp. Firstly we will hike to Dhampus via alluring trail filled with cultivated terraces, lush forests. From lower Dhampus we will again walk upwards through Rhododendron forest until we reach on the ridge. From here we can explore Annapurna Mountain Range and Machhapuchhre Range (The Fishtail Mountain). Passing through Pothana village we will hike for about one hour to reach Australian Base Camp. After taking relishing breakfast at Australian Base Camp, we descend to Naudanda and stop there for Lunch. Then we continue the trek through hill ridge to dense settlement inhabited by mixed ethnic groups. On reaching Sarangkot, we will witness awe-inspiring views of gigantic mountain ranges including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs. Today is our last day of Australian Base Camp Sarangkot Hiking package. A representative from Nefa Treks will escort you to Tribhuwan International Airport 3 hours before your scheduled flight. Have a safe journey to your homeland! If you want to extend the trip, we will manage some extra days for Kathmandu Sightseeing. You can also join other short hiking near Kathmandu valley with us.
