Witness the best of the Manaslu region and Tsum Valley as you delve into the pristine valleys and experience untouched culture on this 23 Day Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek!

The Tsum Valley, also known as the hidden valley, is one of the most remote but culturally rich Himalayan valleys in the world. The valley, which lies near the border with Tibet, used to be a restricted area until it was opened for trekking recently at the request of the locals, the ‘Tsumbas’. With numerous monasteries, chortens and traditional villages to explore, there is no doubt about the culture richness of this trek. But apart from the cultural aspect, the region is also famed for its natural scenery and wildlife. Along the trail, you will witness beautiful views of Ganesh Himal, Siringi Himal, Manaslu, Himal Chuli, Boudha Himal and more.

On the latter parts of the trek, you’ll be trekking around the foothills of the world’s 8th highest peak. Trek through pleasant forested trails, refreshing waterfalls, rapid rivers and quaint villages on the Manaslu Circuit, all the way up to Larke La. The 5160m pass is the highest point of the trek and offers gratifying views from the top. Alike the Tsum valley, Manaslu is also rich in terms of culture, scenery and biodiversity.

Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek Difficulty

Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek is a lengthy and strenuous trek that takes you into remote and untouched valleys. While no prior trekking experience is required, being physically fit is a necessity. Some other factors you need to consider for the Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek are:

Elevation:

With the trail starting as low as 700m and eventually climbing up to the spectacular glaciers at over 5000m, the Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek offers a lot of variety in terms of landscape and ecosystem. With the latter parts of the trek lying at higher altitudes, remember to properly acclimatize and take rest days as needed.

Length:

A typical Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek takes around 3 weeks to complete. You’ll trek for an average of 5-6 hours a day, mostly over rocky and hilly terrain. So, we recommend training prior to the trek with running, HIIT or hiking itself, prior to the trek.
