Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at TIA, Kathmandu

Day 02: Flight / Drive to Pokhara (25 min flight / 6-7 hrs drive)

Day 03: Flight to Jomsom, Trek to Kagbeni (2800m), 25 min flight, 4 hrs trek

Day 04: Trek to Muktinath (3710m), 5 hrs trek

Day 05: Trek to Jomsom (2730m), 3-4 hrs trek

Day 06: Flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, Drive to Kathmandu (25 min flight / 6-7 hrs drive)

Day 07: Final departure



Upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, complete all formalities and meet up with our representatives outside the terminal. They will be welcome you to Nepal and escort you to your hotel through a private vehicle. You can rest at the hotel or visit our office if time permits.

Take part in a brief pre trek meeting after breakfast. Your trek leader will provide you with the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) which you’ll need for the trek. After the briefing is complete, you’ll be escorted via private vehicle to TIA. Head to the domestic terminal and catch a scenic flight to the lakeside city of Pokhara. A more economic and adventurous option is to take a bus or hire a jeep for a 6-7 hour drive through the countryside. Spend your leisure time exploring the bustling streets of Pokhara. Includes: Overnight stay at hotel, B/L/D

After breakfast, head to the airport to catch a half hour flight to Jomsom. Enjoy a panoramic view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho and Nilgiri among others while flying above the world’s deepest gorge, Kali Gandaki. Jomsom, located in the Himalayan rain shadow is famous for its delicious Marpha apples and apple brandy. Spend some time exploring the town before starting your trek to Kagbeni. Trek along the Kali Gandaki River and eventually pass through Ekle Bhatti. Finally, you’ll arrive at Kagbeni, perched atop a cliff and the entry point to Upper Mustang. Explore the 100 roomed King’s Palace and 800 year old Sakya Gompa in the evening. Includes: Overnight stay at lodge, B/L/D

An exciting 1000 meter ascent awaits us as we head to Muktinath today. Devoted to the godhead of the Hindu pantheon Vishnu, Muktinath is a sacred site that is revered by both Hindu and Buddhist devotees. We will start our trek through Khingar (3400m) and pass through Jharkot (3500m). Pay a visit to the perpetually burning fire at Jwala Mai temple, take a dip at the Mukti Kunda and run across the water spouts of Mukti Dhara. Afterwards, return back to the village of Ranipauwa for overnight stay. Includes: Overnight stay at lodge, B/L/D

Today will be an easy day with most of the trekking being downhill. Visit Muktinath Temple after breakfast before beginning the return trek. Enjoy pleasing views of Dhaulagiri as you retrace your steps through Jarkot. Enjoy some local delicacies at Jomsom to commemorate the completion of the trek. Includes: Overnight stay at lodge, B/L/D

With the trekking now over, take a scenic morning flight to Pokhara. Once there, you can either have another quick flight back to the capital or take a bus instead. If you take the flight, you will have a full day for sightseeing around Kathmandu. Otherwise, you will have a 6-7 drive past lush hills, quaint villages, serpentine roads and roaring rivers to eventually arrive at Kathmandu. In the evening, you can explore the streets of Thamel and shop for souvenirs. Finally, enjoy traditional Nepali cuisine as farewell dinner at a restaurant. Includes: Overnight stay at hotel, B/L/D

Enjoy the last morning in Kathmandu with breakfast at the hotel. Spend your free time in leisure and check out of your hotel a few hours before your flight. Then, one of our staff will escort you to TIA and bid you farewell. In case you don’t have a flight scheduled, you are free to continue with your holiday / other treks as you desire. Includes: Breakfast
